OneDrive for Business users will be excited to know that Microsoft has updated the web version of the service with a new UI while also improving the desktop sync clients.
Dec 15, 2015 The new OneDrive for Business Next Generation Sync Client lets you connect and sync files from your OneDrive for Business. You can add a work or school account to the new OneDrive for Business sync client and sync all your files in OneDrive to your computer. OneDrive (formerly SkyDrive) is the easiest way to access your OneDrive from your Mac. When you install OneDrive, a OneDrive folder is created on your computer. Everything you put in this folder is automatically kept in sync between your computers and OneDrive.com, so you can get to your latest files from virtually anywhere. Microsoft OneDrive is a cloud-based storage and syncing solution that works on only Mac, PC, or mobile device with access to the internet. After you install OneDrive on your Mac, it appears to be just another folder. Drop a file or folder of any type into the OneDrive folder, and the data is immediately stored on the OneDrive cloud storage system. The new OneDrive for Business Next Generation Sync Client lets you connect and sync files from your OneDrive for Business. You can add a work or school account to the new OneDrive for Business sync client and sync all your files in OneDrive to your computer.

Microsoft has announced through the OneDrive blog, that it has updated the UI for OneDrive for Business and introduced improved sharing capabilities. The last major UI update for the service went live over an year ago making this a welcome refresh.
The new UI brings to OneDrive for Business the following features:
- Tree or list view: Users can switch between the two layouts depending on the type of files contained in the folder or the quantity. Both views support drag and drop and multi-select.
- New command bar: The available actions for each folder, file or multiple selections are shown in the command bar, which changes depending on the selection. The new command bar adapts to the screen size and works well on tablets as well as large monitors.
- Details: The details pane which shows additional information about the file or folder has been updated to provide Rich Preview for Office documents, sharing and changes history.
- Enhanced sharing: With enhanced sharing Microsoft has changed the way users share files inside and outside their organization. Users can create links that can only be accessed other users from the same organization, while for those outside the organization there will be a different link that can also be set to expire after a specified period.
In addition to updating the OneDrive for Business experience on the web, Microsoft has also launched a preview of the updated desktop sync client. Interested users can head to the preview sign up site to get in line for the application for their Windows or Mac computers.

Please first check if you are using the latest version of the OneDrive sync client for Mac. If no, update the version, restart the Mac and perform a sync again to see the result. I’d also like you to upload a screenshot showing the version of the client you are using now for clarification.

Meanwhile, check if the issue happens in some specific files. I suggest you back up the affected files, remove them in the sync process, wait the sync progress to be finished, wait some time and then re-add the files to the sync folder to see the result. Moreover, check if the issue happens when syncing the files to a specific library in a specific site and check if there are some limitations the article mentioned in the affected files.
If you change a network environment, what’s the outcome? Can the files be synced with the sync client for Mac on other users' Macs?
